Here we have a 10 Degrees of Freedom (10DOF) sensor. this compact little module includes a gyroscope, accelerometer, digital compass, and a barometric pressure / temperature sensor.

All of the individual sensors are accessible over I2C so you only need 4 connections to access all those sensors. SDA, SCL, Ground and VCC (you can use 3.3v or 5v) and each component can be accessed individually.

• This sensor contains a MEMS accelerometer and a MEMS gyro in a single chip. It is very accurate, as it contains 16-bits analog to digital conversion hardware for each channel. Therefore it captures the x, y, and z channel at the same time.
